LINCS

Overview

LINCS (Leaders in Inclusive Services): a program created by BlueCare that connects the student workforce across the state to hands-on career-building opportunities with our diverse network of healthcare providers. The TN Department of Education, the Department of Labor, the ARC of TN, the National Deaf Coalition, and currently four major universities: ETSU, MTSU, Vanderbilt, and Memphis have partnered with the program. Each university has scholarships available and weighted admission to specific programs for LINCS participants.

How To Participate

  • 17-year-old students will always work alongside experienced staff, and cannot work alone. Additionally, they will not have certain responsibilities, such as dispensing medication, working late night shifts, or operating equipment (such as lifts).

  • Students 18 years and older can apply for any position except Home Health Aides

  • Home Health Aides roles are for high school students with a CNA certification, and university students only.

  • To apply: Search "LINCS" on www.jobs4tn.gov and apply at any listed provider agency that suits your employment goals

  • Vanderbilt University: Department of Special Education (Undergraduate and Graduate Programs)

  • ETSU: Departments of Social Work; Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology; Rehabilitative Sciences; Education, Counseling and Human Services; Sports, Exercise, Recreation and Kinesiology; and Department of Nursing (Undergraduate and Graduate)

  • MTSU: Department of Social Work

  • University of Memphis: Department of Social Work; and Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research
